Things To Write In A Birthday -card

The bad air Alessandra Lavagnino

Piera Palermo

I read an article by Salvatore Ferlita La Repubblica published on in Palermo on September 17 on the output in the library of a paper on malaria written by Alessandra Lavagnino I was very intrigued and so I took advantage of the presentation of the book Feltrinelli of Palermo take it and read it. I had never ventured before in an essay on insects, but every time I stumbled in the stories in video Augusto Vigna I always passionate. So attracted by the theme, malaria, and in my many travels in the tropics have always tried by every means to avoid swallowing huge pilloloni of Lariam and then Paludrine and more, and the fact that the writer was Sicilian and he had dedicated the ' his entire life to his passion for insects, I have not missed an opportunity to find the time to read it.

I think that the attempt to popularize the scientific issues is certainly worthy of merit in the least about it, but I must admit that, except for some ideas and some reference, "The bad air" has not left me much. I found intriguing description of the transformation of the body of the mosquito following ingestion of infected blood and as in particular infection, but of course I expected a lot more about the historical part. I wanted to test a compelling narrative and instead is full of interruptions and cross-references which in fact dismantle the interest. In short, although the important subject in itself, in my opinion has not been adequately developed.

Now I just have to pass it to my friend, and you, I am sure, will find another key to understanding and I will unmount as "cream" the sun!
